The next roster mutation in preparation for the 2026 World Championship has occurred. Defenseman Niklas Blessing, as well as forwards Lorenzo Canonica, Miles Müller, and Jonas Taibel, have been cut.
Instead, defenders Dean Kukan and Christian Marti, plus forwards Denis Malgin (all ZSC Lions), Damien Riat (Lausanne HC), Tyler Moy (SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers), and Pius Suter (St. Louis Blues) are now part of the roster. U17 junior national team coach Fabio Schumacher is reinforcing the coaching staff.
This week, the national team first travels to Jönköping to play the Breakout Game of the Fortuna Hockey Games against Sweden on Thursday. The next day, they move on to Budweis to face Finland on Saturday and host Czechia on Sunday.
