Men's Worlds

Switzerland beat Norway in this afternoon's semifinals 6-0.

Christoph Bertschy opened the scoring for the Swiss

After battles against Finland and Sweden, Switzerland never really let Norway into the game in the semifinal. Although the first period was the most hard-fought, Switzerland led 1-0 at the end of the period thanks to a goal by Christoph Bertschy.

The Swiss dominated the second period, scoring three goals within twelve minutes (Damien Riat, Ken Jäger, and Denis Malgin). After 40 minutes, it was clear that Switzerland would not miss the opportunity to make their third consecutive World Championship final.

In fact, the Swiss did not stop there. They scored two more goals, thanks to Nico Hischier and Théo Rochette.

Hischier, Timo Meier and Roman Josi were named Switzerland's best three players of the tournament after the game. The trio, as well as the entire national team, will play in the final tomorrow at 20:20 CET in the Swiss Life Arena, either against Canada or Finland.
