Back to the Schoren - Philip Åhlström signs with SCL

The 29-year-old defenseman has agreed to a one-year deal with the MyHockey League team and will suit up for them in the 2024-25 season.

Åhlström used to suit up for SC Langenthal from 2015 until 2018 when the team was still in the Swiss League. After almost three seasons with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds and two with EHC Visp, he signed with the Bellinzona Rockets (now the GDT Bellinzona Snakes) in 2023. 

Last season, he recorded four goals and eight assists in 41 regular-season games for Bellinzona. He also appeared in one regular-season and six postseason games (one assist) for HC Sierre.
