In Act 3 of the quarterfinal series between the ZSC Lions and EHC Kloten on March 17, the home team's Christian Marti delivered a hit to the head of Rafael Meier. Penalized as a five-minute major and a misconduct on the ice, he was subsequently provisionally suspended and had proceedings initiated against him. Those resulted in a two-game suspension, with one of the two already served. In addition, Marti has to pay a fine of CHF 4,000.-.
