A violation of IIHF Rule 39/40 (Abuse of Officials) has landed the Finnish forward in disciplinary trouble.
During the third period of last night's game between EV Zug and Genève-Servette HC, the guest's Sakari Manninen received a game misconduct for physical abuse of officials. The SIHF's disciplinary wing has taken up the matter and initiated proceedings against the forward. In addition, he is provisionally suspended for one game.
