HC Fribourg-Gottéron was asking to reduce the forward's sentence from five games to two games.
The SIHF court denied the Dragons' appeal of the five-game suspension Patrik Nemeth received for cross-checking the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' Jonas Taibel.
He will thus remain suspended for the first four games of the semifinal series against Genève-Servette HC and will have to pay a fine of CHF 6,780.
