According to the "Tages-Anzeiger", Ludovic Waeber was injured when Markus Granlund scored the third goal of the night, as he landed on Waeber after taking his shot. Waeber was unable to continue to play after that.
The goaltender appeared in three games for EHC Kloten this season, posting .904 save percentage.
