Kloten without Ludovic Waeber for months and Simon Meier for the season

For the next two to three months, EHC Kloten will have to make do without its starting goalie, Ludovic Waeber. The 29-year-old suffered a shoulder injury. As a consequence, Ewan Huet has been recalled from HC Thurgau and has already served as Davide Fadani's backup yesterday evening in Davos.

For his part, Simon Meier will miss the entire 2025-26 season. He, too, is injured in the shoulder. “Anyone who saw the preparations knows that Simi wasn't just a young player fighting for his place, but was firmly established in our offense. That's why Simi's absence weighs heavily on us. We're planning for him in the long term, so it's best that he gets completely fit now," states team manager Ricardo Schödler.
