During the game against HC Ambrì-Piotta on January 2, Phil Baltisberger suffered a fracture to one of his feet. The medical staff of the SCL Tigers estimate that the 29-year-old defender will be in the infirmary for several weeks meaning that he might miss for the rest of the regular season.
With 19:15 minutes on the ice per game, Baltisberger is the third most-used player of the Tigers, only behind fellow defenders Juuso Riikola and Vili Saarijärvi. In 32 games this season, he scored six goals (career high) and five assists matching his previous best mark of eleven points set in 2020-21.
